• Returned for the start of 2010/11, scoring three goals in four days during September against West Ham United FC and MŠK Žilina, but missed the first half of the 2011/12 campaign with an anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained in pre-season.

• Moved to Real Madrid CF for a season-long loan at the start of the 2012/13 season, helping Los Merengues to runners-up finishes in Liga and the Copa del Rey, as well as to a UEFA Champions League semi-final.
