In 1928, Lloyd Hahn won the combined AAU/Olympic Trials 800 in 1:51.4, breaking the world record, although it was never ratified by the IAAF. In 1926 he also ran on a Boston AA 4×880y relay team that broke the world record. Hahn was also AAU champion at the mile in 1926 and indoors at 1,000y in 1925 and 1927.
