The OpenSceneGraph is an open source high performance 3D graphics toolkit, used by application developers in fields such as visual simulation, games, virtual reality, scientific visualization and modelling. Written entirely in Standard C++ and OpenGL it runs on all Windows platforms, OSX, GNU/Linux, IRIX, Solaris, HP-Ux, AIX and FreeBSD operating systems. The OpenSceneGraph is now well established as the world leading scene graph technology, used widely in the vis-sim, space, scientific, oil-gas, games and virtual reality industries.

OpenSceneGraph-3.0.0 released
We are delighted to announce the OpenSceneGraph 3.0.0 release, the culmination of 2 years work that brings professional grade scene graph to the mobile and embedded 3D graphics markets. The new release introduces support for OpenGL ES 1.1, OpenGL ES 2.0 that enables both iOS and Android builds, as well as extending our support for desktop/workstation OpenGL with support for OpenGL 3.x and OpenGL 4.x and associated cutting edge extensions. The new release also brings new extensible serializers, new native binary, ascii and XML scene graph formats as well as many other new features, improvements in robustness and performance. The OpenSceneGraph 2.8.5 release adds new features and enhancements to the stable 2.8.x release series, including more efficient uniform processing, support for the OpenGL texture multisample extension, and enhancements to several file format plugins.
