Cool Tools for Library Webmasters - Internet Library 2008
Frank and I were back with more free or inexpensive tools for webmasters and everyone who uses the web. This time we emphasized backups (and more backup tools), security, some tools for usability and accessibility and design. We also included a list of some all time favourites at the end. 1. LinkChecker extension for Firefox
This extension was created by Kevin Freitas. After you add the extension, you simply right click to see the new option check page links. It highlights links as it checks them. This is handy for pages that you maintain.
Default link color highlight key:
red - broken links
yellow - forwarded, forbidden links
green - good links
gray - skipped links*
